How To Create Custom Transaction Type In Mas 500 System

Standard Transaction Type (IM Purchase, IM Sale, Transfer In, Transfer Out and Sale…) are defined in the MAS 500 System. System uses this transaction type to create the transaction entries. User can also create custom transaction type in Mas 500 system and can use this to create transaction entries. Please refer the below steps for the same.

1. Open ‘Set UP IM Options’ Task. Refer the below screenshot.


2. Navigate to ‘Miscellaneous’ tab.
3. Click on ‘Customize Trans…’ Button the below screen displays.

In above screen user can enter the ‘Description’, ‘Tran Type’, ‘Journal’, ‘Next Number’ and Effect on Quantity-on Hand. After entering the values user has to click the finish button to save the record.

Here,
Tran Type:Type a two-character transaction type to select the effect on the quantity on-hand.
Journal:Enter a journal abbreviation for the transaction or click the Lookup to show all journals.
Next Number:Type the next number to use.
Effect on Quantity-on Hand:Inventory increase or decrease.

After creating the custom transaction type user can use this to create the transaction entries. Refer the below screenshot.
